Emotion, emotion, and a little more emotion. That’s what I wanted to convey in this track. When I think of the universe, I get this uncontrollable emotion. It’s not necessarily positive, negative, happy, or sad. It’s just raw and passionate.
I think of the size of the universe, how we are floating around on a giant rock and I just want to scream. It’s hard to explain. That’s how I wanted this track to feel, like you are screaming out at the top of your little lungs.

Like ‘nothing but a speck’, I started the track off with a sequence of piano chords.
Unlike the previous two tracks, I decided to go down the analog route.
I felt the rawness and passion I wanted to express was best done through fusing the soft piano with hard-hitting drums and synths. Throughout the track I give the synths life by playing with the filters, bringing them in and out to accentuate the highs and lows.

I think what ties the whole track together and brings some feminine energy into it are the vocals. The drenched-out vocal melodies from my girlfriend guide the track into something raw. I think the best tracks are those that pair feminine and male energy. This is what I tried to do in this one, paring feminine and male (bass, hard-hitting drums).

The climax of the track takes everything from before and adds more layers. I added strings, piano, and more synths to make this huge wall of passion and emotion. The plethora of sounds represents the utter chaos of the universe.
The entire track has been leading up to the climax, I wanted to make the wait worth it.
I wanted the climax to epitomise the feeling of screaming out and not giving up.
