about

Going into the final track I wanted to convey all things that make up the universe, which believe it or not, are everything.
How do I convey everything into a track? Yeah, I’m not too sure either.
My answer was to combine acoustic and digital.
The repetitive synth line, in the beginning, represents the constant motion of the universe.
It is always growing, there is no end to the universe.
Space can also be unsettling and chaotic. When I think about the universe, chaos is a word that comes to mind. Who knows when the next asteroid is going to hit us?
I used the piano to highlight the unsettling nature of the universe. The tritone in the melody gives the feeling that something is wrong.
More synths and electric guitars are brought in, building the track up to something unnerving.
Then the huge powerhouse bass comes in, transforming the song from unnerving to confident.
I wanted to tell a clear story on this track. Starting as unsettling, where you are not sure where it is going and then ending with pure confidence and bliss.
When the bass comes in, and the track reaches its climax, everything sort of makes sense.
Kind of like the universe. None of us know what the f*** is going on, but you best be sure she knows exactly up.
